2007 Battle of the Bands |

OFFICIAL RULES 1. The contest will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2007, in the Eagle Lake Building. 2. The contest is open to ALL age groups. 3. Lyrics must be cover or original; however, original pieces are encouraged. 4. LYRICS MUST BE APROPRIATE FOR ALL AGE GROUPS! If judges deem lyrics to be inappropriate, the band will be disqualified. The decision of the judges is final! 5. A non-refundable entry fee must accompany the entry form. Include a brief bio about the band. 6. Participating bands must supply their own equipment. Each band is limited to 15 minutes (this includes: setup, performance and tear down times). 7. All contestants will receive a participation ribbon. Prizes: · Grand Prize—50% of total entry fees · Second Place—30% of total entry fees · Third Place—20% of total entry fees 8. The decision of the judges is final. 9. By entering, you are bound by the official rules put into place by the Emmet County Agricultural Show Board and agree that local news media have the right, free of charge, to take photos and/or videos, or broadcast any performance, or the names of the participating bands. 10. The Emmet County Agricultural Show Board reserves the right to cancel the contest without prior notice. In the case of cancellation by the Fair Board, all entry fees will be refunded. If a band cancels, the entry fee is forfeited. 11. Entry fee per band is $20, payable to the Emmet County Agricultural Show.
